~Safety/Fear~

Accidents and traumas can happen in so many situations:

• While kids are in the home or outside playing in the snow (skiing,  

  snowsleading).

• Ice and water.

• In and around vehicles (cars, bikes, snowmobiles).

• Involved in sports or at playground

• Fire (matches)

• Encounters with animals that can be dangerous

• Falls

 (the list is endless)

• Protection of children in the womb (from abortion, miscarriages, premature birth, any harmful substances tha mother may ingest or need to ingest).

• Protection for children from becoming victims of crime and for not getting involved in criminal activity

• Protection from getting involved in drugs/alcohol/tobacco and freedom from it for those already involved with harmful substances (Proverbs 20:1 &23, 31-32)

• Protection from evil in every area of his/her life- spiritual, emotional and physical (John 17:15)

• So they have NO fear of ANYTHING (dark, noises/sounds, cartoons, people, animals….Philippians 4:6-9)

• So they have a Godly self-esteem (be secure in who God has made them

to be)

“ The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms” (Deut. 33:27)

“Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” ( Eph. 6:10)

“ When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk throught the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.” (Isaiah 43:2)

“ Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.” (Psalm 91:9-10)

Prayer

Lord, I lift ______________________ up to You and ask that You would put Your arms of protection around him/her. I pray specifically for protection from accidents, disease, injury, or any other physical, mental, or emotional abuse.

I pray that ______________________ will make her/his refuge “in the shawow of Your wings” until “ these calamities (An event that brings terrible loss, lasting distress, a disaster) have passed by”. (Psalm 57:1). Help _____________________ to walk in Your ways and in obedience to Your will so that _____________________ never comes out from under the umbrella of that protection. Hide _________________ from any kind of evil influences that would come against him/her. Keep _____________________ safe in all he/she does and wherever he/she goes. Lord, Your Word says “ I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears” (Psalm 34:4). I pray that You will deliver ___________________ from any fear that threatens to overtake him/her. Flood __________________ with Your lover and wash away all fear and doubt. I pray Father, please help ____________________ realize that You created him/her in Your image. You made _______________________ so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous. Because you created _______________, I ask You to help him/her to view himself/herself from Your perspective. Help _____________ to realize his/her strengths. Open his/her eyes to the strengths, abilities, and talents that You have placed inside of _________________. Give him/her grace to find the good that is in him/her. Help _________________ be appreciative of who he/she is, instead of critical of who he/she is not.  In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
